Art therapy is less about being a skilled artist and more about an openness to create as form of expression using paint, pastels, clay and collage. Art Therapy combines traditional talk therapy and the creative process. This intersection between therapy and the artistic medium reflects the creative therapeutic process. Art therapy is utilized by diverse populations including children, adolescents, and adults. This process expresses feelings and emotions that often are difficult to verbalize.
Therapy is process-oriented and is about learning to explore diverse perspectives and discuss growth needs or goals of treatment.
I look forward to supporting your family and answering any questions you may have about therapy, art therapy or the philosophy of my practice.

Creating art is not required in all sessions. There are times when talk therapy becomes the focus of the session. The therapist meets the client’s needs at the moment. Therapy requires a diversity of approach and is dependent on the situation and needs of the individual client.
